Acute myocarditis (AM) is often associated with pericardial involvement . Previous studies showed that left ventricular ejection fraction and anteroseptal midwall late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) are strong prognostic independent predictors of long-term outcomes in AM. We aimed to define the clinical and incremental prognostic role of PI in patients with AM enrolled in the ITAMY (Italian Study in Myocarditis).
