CCM clinical activity is performed on 4 main areas; Cardiovascular Imaging (diagnostic services), Interventional Cardiology (heaemodinamic and electrophysiology),Cardiovascular Surgery, Critical and Clinical Cardiology.
The Clinical activity of CCM is patient oriented and based on multidisciplinary projects and activities involving all the cardiovascular areas in order to provide the best possible experience for our patients. Moreover the research performed at Centro Cardiologico Monzino involves all the Institute’s Units and is aimed at developing innovations in the diagnostic therapeutic field and transferring the results of scientific work into clinical practice.

During last year mortality at 30 days after TAVI intervention has been 3.5% (benchmarking 9.9%, as reported by the France National Register); in the same year the in-hospital Heart Surgery mortality range has been 1.74% (vs 3.1% reported by the UK CSR); the PTCA mortality range has been 0.6% CCM (vs 1.6% reported by the UK CSR).
CCM has consistently placed among the top Italian hospitals for Cardiovascular Surgery, Haemodinamic and Electrophysiology. Moreover it houses both cardiovascular imaging (CT/MRI/Echo) and Heart Failure (Mecki Score/ Cardiopulmonary Exercise Test) top-ranked programs.
Since 2003 CCM performs a yearly Clinical Audit. All the documents are available online.
In 2013, the research activity led to 153 publications in scientific magazines (total of 881,86 Impact Factor points). Currently there are 144 research projects and 51 Clinical Trials running.
