At the Cardiopulmonary Research Laboratory of the Centro Cardiologico Monzino, patient care and research are closely interconnected. The Laboratory is the result of a complete integration between Monzino’s clinical staff and the cardiovascular faculty of the Department of Clinical Sciences and Community Health at the University of Milan, to the extent that today it would be impossible to distinguish between the two components of the research team.
