Centro Cardiologico Monzino is a Research and Teaching Hospital solely dedicated to cardiovascular prevention and care, whose mission is inspiring hope and contributing to health and well-being by providing the best care to every patient through integrated clinical practice.

We welcome patients from all over the world, from the Arabic Speaking Countries, Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe, Central Europe. The Monzino International Office is fully dedicated to providing a tailored welcome and a comfortable hospital stay, by meeting all individual needs. The Monzino is committed to offer customized care for all patients and pay attention to their medical needs, language expectations, cultural and religious aspects.
Our International Office coordinates all aspects of your visit to our hospital and clinics and is committed to making you and your family feel as comfortable as possible during your stay.

The main services offered by Monzino International Office are:

  • Pre-arrival assistance (clinical pathway schedule, invitation letter for Visa issue, travel and accommodation organization, …)
  • Cultural Mediation Service by phone available 24h and 7/7
  • Liaison between the patient and hospital staff before, during and after the hospitalization

The Monzino International Office, thanks to the collaboration with different partners, may also organize other services on demand, such as:

  • Transfer from/to Milan airports
  • Interpreter/Cultural Mediator in person
  • Leisure time activities
  • Religious and spiritual support

Monzino Hospitalization

Patients will be informed about every step of their diagnosis and treatment by their Monzino reference physician. Patients are requested to bring all their clinical documentation, translated into Italian or English. All medical reports provided by Monzino physicians will be in both Italian and English. Before your hospitalization you will receive all the information related to your stay at the Monzino will be sent to you.

Monzino Continuity of Care

At discharge, Monzino physicians will discuss with the patient the possibility of continuing care in their country of origin with special attention to regular check-up and follow-up programs. The Monzino International Office is completely committed to assist the patient, even at a distance, with any further needs.

2. How to book an appointment?

To schedule an appointment at Monzino please contact the International Patient Office by e-mail or phone. Once your appointments are scheduled you will receive a confirmation via e-mail.

3. What do before, during and after your visit?

Before: we can assist you with medical appointments, hotel housing near the hospital, financial and billing arrangements.

During: upon your arrival you will need to check in with the Global Patient Services Office (CUP) open from Monday to Friday 9.00- 16.30 and Saturday 10.30-12.00, located on the 1st floor of the hospital. While you are here we can assist you with hospital admissions and follow up medical visits, ensure you to have access to all medical specialties needed and clearly understand all medical instructions.

After your stay we can help obtain medical reports/films after consultations are completed, assist with prescriptions requests, facilitate communication with physicians, help you with scheduling follow up visits.

4. Financial & Billing Services

Monzino delivers both private and national healthcare services.

  • If you choose the national healthcare service no money will be required
  • If you have an Health Insurance: we will work with your insurance company to limit your out of pocket expenses
  • If you choose the Self Pay: you will pay for your healthcare using one of the acceptable forms of payment
  • If you are an Embassy-sponsored patient we will contact your embassy for the payment

In addition to providing high quality service and care to international patients Monzino is dedicated to meeting the needs of physicians.
