The Authors report a case in which a persisting and abnormal anticoagulant effect of bivalirudin was verified after cardiac surgery.
A 63-year-old female underwent a redo operation for mitral prosthesis stenosis. Nine years before this, the patient underwent aortic and mitral valve replacement; during the postoperative period, she developed anaphylaxis to enoxaparine.
