Catheter ablation is an established form of therapy to treat ventricular tachycardia (VT) in patients with a variety of structural cardiomyopathies. In this setting, electroanatomical mapping combined with advanced imaging techniques has recently improved the accuracy in the characterization of complex arrhythmogenic substrates, leading to more sophisticated and effective ablation strategies; moreover, the diagnostic implementation with intracardiac echocardiography is under continuous development and prefigures unexpected procedural scenarios.
