A comment on the meta-analysis published by van der Hulle et al. (Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis) on five randomized controlled trials (RCTs) showing similar efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) and vitamin K antagonists(VKAs) in cancer patients with acute venous thromboembolism (VTE).
