Federico De Marco
Dr. Federico De Marco leads the Interventional Valvular and Structural Cardiology Unit at the Centro Cardiologico Monzino.
After specializing in Cardiology in 2005, he completed a two-year training period at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud, a world-leading center in transcatheter and endovascular treatment of cardiovascular diseases. In 2008, he obtained a Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology from the University of Milan.
For over fifteen years, he has specialized in structural endovascular interventions, earning international recognition, with a particular focus on the treatment of valvular heart diseases (TAVI for aortic valve, mitral and tricuspid repair and replacement).
He also performs innovative procedures for heart defects (such as patent foramen ovale) and other interventional therapies (such as left atrial appendage closure in atrial fibrillation).
